Hi, my name is Anita I am 31 years old, I have a master’s degree in biomedicine from SDU. I work at Nature Energy as Senior Manager in the Biology Department. 

  1. What does a day in your life look like as a Senior Manager at Nature Energy?

A day in my life as Senior Manager consists of a lot of coordination between departments and our plants, removing obstacles for my team so they can do their job most efficiently.

  1. What motivates and excites you the most about your career path and the leadership position you hold?

We make a difference in the world every day, one cubic meter of green gas at a time. I think it is very motivating to work with green energy for a brighter and greener future. 

  1. Share with us the biggest lessons you learned on your journey to where you are today.

Go with the flow and don’t worry about how others perceive you. Luck and opportunities favor the well prepared.  

  1. Tell us about a (female) role model who inspired you to become the leader you are today, and how (s)he impacted you personally or professionally.

My mom, she has an amazing work ethic and at the same time she is the best mom for me and my three siblings. 

  1. If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self, or to other young female students today, what would it be?

Relax, your first, second or third job might not be your dream position but if you follow your interest and grab opportunities you will get there.  

  1. How do you see STEM education shaping the future?

STEM educations are driven by knowledge and innovation and that is the key to a greener and more sustainable future.

  1. Why is it important for you to promote diversity and inclusion within STEM?

Different educations, backgrounds, experience, and skills bring new ideas to the table.

  1. What steps do you see that your company taken to promote a more diverse and inclusive workplace?
