What do you find most interesting about your career and your leadership position?
I have already worked in many different positions at my company. This has both been exciting and fun, and has also given me a broad understanding of the company. I take advantage of the experience I have gained every day in my leadership. The greatest thing about leadership is figuring out your teammates’ strengths and helping them develop and flourish in their positions.
What has been crucial to get you to where you are today?
Hard work, commitment, and help and encouragement from others.
Tell us about a female role model and the impact they had on you – either personally or professionally?
My grandma. She was a child during World War II and has experienced many difficulties throughout her youth. She took care of me when I was a child, and she has an extraordinary ability to look at pretty much everything in a positive way.
What advice would you give to young female students today?
Try and believe more in yourselves, trust that you will succeed in anything you set your mind to, and then work hard.
Looking into the future, what role do you think STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) education will have?
I believe that the crucial developments within sustainable technology that the world will be dependent on in the future will come from STEM.
